Incarcerated single male, unjustly convicted,
currently on Death Row! But while liberation by legal means, is only one
of my main objectives. I do have other interests and goals! Until my innocence
is actually proven, by way of appeal. I remain confined here at San Quentin.
WHAT I'M SEEKING IS "CORRESPONDENCE & VISITS" FOR THE SAKE OF FRIENDSHIP
Someone who's sincere, compassionate, and able to empathize with my
adverse situation, in terms of moral support etc.
Historical literature, poetry, art-work, classical music, are just
some of the subjects of my interests, and my willingness to learn more.
I am not afraid to share or express my sensitivity & emotions. Will
write to anyone.
If you are not able to assist me in my request for someone to correspond
with, maybe you know of someone else, and organzation, agency or group,
who may be acquiescent towards my unfortunate circumstance. Please! Feel
free to forward this information to them on my behalf or send me their
address.
Elusive Love
Frustration and unwanted isolation seems never ending
Companionship and comfort apparently out of reach.
Desires of a real relationship effectively communicating,
All is possible when choosing to believe.
Still fearing the pain not wanted to receive,
Love has hurt deeply in the past.
Must it always be so? Or can love last?
Would like to find out one day, maybe try again
Best to hope and prepare, wondering until then.
A DIME AMONG PENNIES
One day as I stood on the weight yard with a group of young men who seemed to tower above me in size but not in strength, someone asked, “Pops, don’t you feel strange surrounded by so many tall people?” I replied, “Yes, I do. I feel like a dime among a lot of pennies!”
This reminded me that we who are Christians may not be very “tall” in the eyes of some, and in fact the world often looks down on us. But in God’s sight we are of great worth!
The apostle Paul wrote, “Not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise” (Corinthians: 26-27).
We may not hold positions of prestige and power in society, or be bound in prison like myself, but in Christ we are given a position to those held by the “big shots” of this world. Because of our relationship with Christ, we have great value. Paul said in Romans 8: 16,17 that “we are children of God… and joint heirs of Christ.”
Regardless of how much abuse the world may heap on us or how small we may seem compared to others, we are precious in the sight of God. Because of Christ, we have immeasurable worth.
Not many wise has the dear Saviour chosen,
Not many noble shall enter his nest;
Foolish, despised ones are heirs to His mercy,
Simple in faith, by his grace they are blessed.
EVEN THOUGH THE WORLD MAY DISCOUNT THE CHRISTIAN BROTHERSAND SISTER, BUT IN GOD’S EYES WE ARE PRICELESS.
“It is God”
Job 1:12
God giveth and God takes away
When all is tuely said and done
It is God who reigns supreme
No man can stand against his might
Though they try and though they scheme.
It is God who lifts us to the top
It is He who puts us down
His hand that brings prosperity
Or the lack which makes us frown.
It is God who renews our spirit
While making changes deep inside
It is God who directs our pathways
And in whose love we abide
